Digital Package
AVIOM is one of the leading digital audio companies in the world. A-Net is Aviom's proprietary high-speed digital audio transmission protocol. It is capable of sending and receiving uncompressed, high-quality 24-bit digital audio using readily available Category 5e cables. The A-Net protocol is based on the physical layer of Ethernet, but unlike Ethernet, A-Net is designed specifically for the unique demands of distributing streaming audio in real time where timing is critical. While Ethernet-based systems face line-length restrictions and latency, A-Net represents a new standard in flexibility and speed, with sub-millisecond latencies from analog input to analog output and cable runs of up to 150m/500feet between devices. The A-16II allows the performer to create a custom monitor mix tailored to his/her individual needs. Designed for use in live performance or in the studio, the Personal Mixer gives each performer control over channel volume, grouping, pan, stereo spread and master volume. Each and every Personal Mixer in the system can create a unique monitor mix for a performer. Users can save and recall up to sixteen custom mixes as presets in their Personal Mixer. The stereo output from the Pro16 Monitor Mixing System can be used to drive floor wedge monitors, in-ear monitors, headphones or spot monitors.
This package comes with all necessary cabling, 16-channel input splitter, fully qualified audio technician, delivery and setup/show/load-out.

I finally had the chance to try Martin's "Drum Throne Thumper" and was totally impressed! I love being able to "Feel" the groove and that's exactly what was happening during the performance. At times when the band can get loose and loud, it can be difficult to determine where the groove is, even for the drummer and I found that the Thumper was perfect for that situation! I recommend that all serious players give this cool idea a try... You'll love it! I did!
I was in Langley, B.C. last year with Kim Mitchell and Martin suggested I try out a 'thumper'. I saw Johnnie Fay from The Tragically Hip using something similar a few years back and thought it was a great idea. To really feel the kick drum, as opposed to just hearing it, is a superior experience. I miss you Thumper.

Martin has been doing sound for Faith and Desire for over six years. Throughout this time Martin has always paid attention to detail, worked extremely hard and always sought new ways to improve his and our show. One of these ways was demonstrated the other nite... with A nifty little device called a thumper. It allows the drummer to "feel" the presence of having their kick drum like we would with a large monitor rig on bigger shows without the excessive volume. Our band does a lot of smaller, quieter, wedding and corporate events, so its not often I get to have the luxury of having the big kick drum sound in a monitor. This Thumper was awesome. It totally feels like I have the big kick drum sound...
So we showed up the other day at the gig and Martin told me that he had this new thumper to try out. I had heard of them before but I had never had the opportunity to try one. It was killer. It blew my mind how it improved my performance. I have never been able to feel low end like that. I definately recommend them to any drummer. It will kick you right in the butt!
